The new tiles for VIA PLATTEN persuades by timeless familiarity and traditional handmade quality. Newly interpreted, it is reminiscent of old ornamentation and conveys a certain valence through longevity and patina.

Searching for Movement and liveliness in the layout, Kai Linke and Robin Heather developed a tile which shows the geometry of a classical ornament. The asymmetry oft he single tile allows the possibility to break up the regular layout just by a slight variation of array, creating surprising transitions and diverse situations in the overall picture.

A dynamic surface emerges. In order to turn attention to the geometry of the ornament, the tile itself is visually restrained to straight lines and two tones combines in different colors.
